Lovely garden apartment with quality furnishings and fittings including Satalite TV DVD and CD music system Our holiday home is on a private complex with a pool overlooking the sea. set between two beautiful coves: Cala ferrera and Cala Esmerelda, with crystal clear waters. It's a pretty area with plenty of shops bars restaurants. Ferrera Park is next to the sea and has beautiful gardens shaded by pine trees close to a couple of beaches
Relax in the garden watching the boats sail by Sunloungers provided. Winter breaks available although a car would be needed to visit the many places as the area is very quiet after October. You can enjoy quiet beaches, lovely scenery and the lovely vall d'or golf course is just a short drive. Valldermosa and Soller are wonderful, days out to sitting outside on a January morning is wonderful. Relax by a rouring log fire on a chilly evening watching your favourite programs

Cala Dor is one hours drive from Palma Airport where you can hire a car. Taxis wait outside to take you to your destination.

Cala Ferrera is near cala dor, there the coves have crystal clear water and soft sand that gently slopes into the sea and excellent beachbars with friendlty staff. Although Cala Ferrera has many restaurants bars and shops Cala Dor is the place to head for on an evening about 10mins walk or two mins taxi. There are pedestrian streets full of candlelit outside restaurants serving a wide choice of food. The Marina is full of the most expensive yaughts and motor boats and provides a pleasent place to sit and watch the world go by. Cala Dor was originally a small majorcan fishing village. It's retained its charm (no high rise buildings) mostly painted white and never far from a beach. There are many local markets and whether you choose to stay by the pool or explore the island Cala Ferrera is the ideal base. Many people return year after year.

Weather: Between May and October it's virtually sunny all the time with very little rain in july and august it can be very hot even on a night in the winter months you can get lovely days but a bit cooler on a night. We were swimming in the sea this January.

Internet: There are many internet cafes to keep a check on your emails.

Hiring boats: You can hire little speed boats by the half days and explore all the little coves or charter a larger boat cruising the beautiful waters of the mediterranean. You can hire bikes locally and cars by the day. I hope this information helps do not hesitate to ring us.

Golfing Breaks: The Vall d'or Golf course is close by and offers superb golfing. It is one of the most welcoming clubs in mallorca surrounded by olive and almond trees with magnificent views of the Mediteranean.

Boat Charter is a fantastic opportunity to explore the coastal waters of Mallorca. You have the option to charter motor boats or sailing yachts, completely different modes of travel, with or without crew depending on your sailing ability and experience. Yachts are of the highest standards and of various sizes depending upon your experience and budget.
This has become one of the most popular daytime activities in the resort.
There are numerous glass bottomed boats that leave throughout the day from the coves that make up Cala d´Or.

Rental Notes:
£150 a week refundable bond must be paid and monies returned after inspection of the property. Non refundable payment of charge to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival.
The property can be let out of season and can provide an ideal base for touring the island although many places close in cala Dor at the beginning of November, it can be lovely for those that want a quiet retreat in pleasent weather with beautiful srroundings. The beaches will be quiet but the day can be warm and evenings a bit cooler.

There are winterlets: Christmas and New Year
Ideal for quiet get-away breaks. The weather can be lovely if the sun is shining we even swam in the sea. January was very cold but pleasent, we sat on the quiet beaches that are ideal for walking cycling breaks.
In Cala Dor almost everywhere (except a few restaurants and hotels) closes from 30th October so it is a diffrent type of holiday to the summer, a lovely time to explore the island.
